Louis "Lou" James Barnaba

Louis "Lou" James Barnaba

Mr. Lou Barnaba, of Myrtle Beach South Carolina passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Sunday, March 11, 2018. He was born in Utica, NY on September 17, 1945 to the late Rose and David Barnaba. He was preceded in death by his brother, Vincent Barnaba. He leaves his wife, and best friend, Pattie (DeNigro) Barnaba with whom he shared 48 special years together. He also leaves his two children, Bridgette Brittelli and her husband Billy, of Mount Pleasant, SC. His son, Louie Barnaba of Myrtle Beach. His grandchildren, Bianca and Billy Brittelli of Mt. Pleasant. A brother David and wife Joanne Barnaba. His very special sister in law Barbara and Michael Cristalli of Utica NY.  Lou also leaves several nephews and a niece and his canine companion Vino. A very special mention to his long time close friends Mike and Rosemary Schavone who have always shared fun times together. Tony and Judy Testa, and Jimmy and Barb Guarascio, and Linda Barnaba. He will also be missed by his Sunday golfing buddies, Mark Katuscak and Joe Schuster.  Always close to his heart was his uncle, Mr. Dominick Testa.  His talent and expertise in the carpentry trade inspired Lou to follow in his footsteps from a very young age.  Lou always contributed his skills and tricks of the trade from his uncle, a man he deeply admired.

Lou was a master craftsman in the construction trade, a true perfectionist but his real passion was time spent with his family at home. He enjoyed working side by side with his son for many years in the construction business. Lou was supportive of his children and grandchildren, and took great pride in their accomplishments. He will be sorely missed.

A celebration of Lou's life will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 17th 2018 at McMillan-Small Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive family and friends at the conclusion of the service.

Please accept my sincere condolence. May you find comfort through the Word of God. “He will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces…” Isa 25:8. This promise will be accomplished by means of God’s Kingdom or government with His son Jesus Christ ruling as king (Dan 2:44).
