Stephen L. (Steve) McMillan, Sr., founder and CEO of McMillan-Small Funeral Home and a 1970 graduate of Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He opened McMillan-Small Funeral Home in 1978 with his partner, Aaron Small who left the business in 1985. Mr. McMillan continues the excellence of caring for families each and everyday. He is married to Mary Catherine (Williams) McMillan and they have one son, Stephen L. (Lee) McMillan, Jr. who also works in the business. Steve has two granddaughters, Macie and Malley. He enjoys golf and a variety of other things to keep him busy and is a member Ocean View Baptist Church and the Dunes Golf and Beach Club, a mason and former President of the North Myrtle Beach Rotary Club.

Lee is a 1999 graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Atlanta, GA, and joined the funeral home in April 1996. He assists on the day-to-day operations of the business with the other directors. Lee enjoys family time, sports and traveling. He is the current Vice-President of the Myrtle Beach High All-Sports Booster Club and a former Miracle League Board Member. Lee is married to Holly D. (Tanner) McMillan of Conway and they are active members of the First United Methodist Church of Myrtle Beach. Together they have two beautiful daughters, Macie and Malley.

Craig, resident of Myrtle Beach, SC graduated from Southern Wesleyan University, with a degree in Business Administration. Graduated from Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science with a degree in Mortuary Science. Craig has been licensed in Funeral Services since 1989, and has been in the business for 27 years. He has one son, Noah Thomas. They are members of First United Methodist in Myrtle Beach. Craig loves golf and being outdoors. He is a big sports fan.

Bob is a native of the Finger Lakes Region of New York State and originally came to Myrtle Beach from Hyannis, MA in 1999. After a brief hiatus, Bob returned to the area in 2019 and is a valued member of the professional team at McMillan-Small Funeral Home.
Bob is a graduate of the former Simmons Institute of Mortuary Science in Syracuse, NY, attended the University off Rochester in Rochester, NY, and lives in the Carolina Forest area of Myrtle Beach. When not at the funeral home, Bob enjoys working in his yard, and big game hunting.
South Carolina Funeral Director SC # 4277
Arthur is originally from Thibodaux, Louisiana and is a graduate of the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters of Music. He is currently the Director of Music & Organist at St. Philip Lutheran Church in Myrtle Beach. He moved to Myrtle Beach in 2018 with his dog, Ivy and his VW Beetle. Arthur has previously worked in other churches as a music & education director and at the Texarkana Funeral Home of Texarkana, TX.
Cremation Specialist
Wade, a native of Murrells Inlet,
attended Coastal Carolina University for Music, and after spending the better
part of ten years touring parts of the nation, and internationally with various
bands, began working at McMillan-Small in the crematory in December of 2020. He
enjoys music, being outdoors, cooking, and helping others. He still performs
locally with musical acts around the Grand Strand.
Office Manager
Millie grew up in Florence and moved to the beach in 1984. She was formerly employed with the Grand Strand Regional Medial Center before coming to McMillan-Small Funeral Home in 2001 as their Office Manager.
Millie and her husband, John, reside in Myrtle Beach and have three children, Grant, JJ and Lauren. She enjoys her family, cooking and their time at the beach. They are members of First United Methodist Church, Myrtle Beach.
Apprentice Funeral Director/Embalmer
Ashley, a native of South Carolina, began working with McMillan Small Funeral Home, October 2021. She is currently attending Piedmont Technical College for Funeral Service and Embalming. She resides in Myrtle Beach with her husband, Keith, and four fur children Hoover, Daisy, Mae Mae, and Layla. She loves spending time with her family and friends, watching TV series and movies, and all things music related. Her biggest passion is helping others, which led her to choosing a career in funeral service.
Office Staff
Cindy joined our staff and moved to Myrtle Beach in December,
2021 from Cades, SC. She has a son, Myles Filyaw and his wife, Emily, and two
grandchildren, Louise and Will, who reside in Lake City. She also has a
daughter, Grace Filyaw Dryden and her husband Steven, who reside in Coward. Cindy enjoys
being on the beach and spending time with her family.
Funeral Assistant
John is formerly of Wilmington, NC and Brunswick County, NC received his Funeral Directors license in 1976 after a six-year enlistment with the US Army. He is a Vietnam Veteran having served with the 1st Calvary Division as a Helicopter Crew Chief.
John worked with Service Corporation International (SCI) for 29 years before coming to McMillan-Small Funeral Home in January 2008. He and his wife, Nancy, of 34 years now reside in North Myrtle Beach. They have one son, John Jr. John and his wife attend St. Stephens Episcopal Church in North Myrtle Beach. His hobbies include boating and learning to play the banjo.

Bob is a retired funeral director from Clarion, PA, moving to Myrtle Beach in 1999 following his retirement. Bob enjoys walking and playing golf anytime he is not working. Bob has two sons and a daughter and several grandchildren. His son, Rollie still operates his funeral home in Clarion, PA.

Jerry was born in Greenville, SC and lived for thirty-one years in Bennettsville, SC before moving to Tidewater Plantation in North Myrtle Beach in 2010. He is married to the former Barbara Mishoe of Loris, SC. He is a member and Deacon of Ocean View Baptist Church.
