I was Robert's last direct supervisor at GPO before he retired, for about 10 years. He was a great person to work with and have on your team. He showed me a lot of ropes when I came to GPO, and I am forever grateful. We miss him here at GPO, and I know I do, very much. Heartfelt condolences from me to his siblings and family.

I want to express my deepest sympathy on the loss of Robert to his family and Barbara. Robert and I worked together for many years and became good friends very easily. We often drank coffee and ate lemon doughnuts together while talking about everything from the Redskins, college basketball, family, hunting, home improvements, and vacations to retirement plans. We always ate chocolate cake to celebrate his birthday, a tradition I plan to continue. I have so many fond memories of him and will miss him dearly. A good friend to both of us, Charlotte Sears, passed away this week. If there is an after life I know those two are happily causing mischief and giggling together.

Robert was one in a million, a heart of gold and a million dollar smile.
I looked forward every fall to see that smile at my door when I arrived in Myrtle. I loved when I saw you in the morning on the deck with your cigar, coffee and mini apple pies. Always a new funny story waiting!
“Anyway” ......
You will be missed, but never forgotten!

I worked with Robert for several years at GPO. He helped me a lot when I first started. He was a very kind person and always so cheerful. I would send him a Christmas card every year since he retired to keep in touch. My prayers are with your family and I hope you find comfort during this difficult time. He will be missed by many.
