Willard Robinson (Bob) Deskins, Jr.

Willard Robinson (Bob) Deskins, Jr. of Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Bluefield, West Virginia, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025. He was born in English, West Virginia on February 14, 1938, to the late Bus and Cleo Deskins.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Patricia Merrell Deskins. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Tamara and Jeffrey Eggleston and son and daughter-in-law Timothy and Sally Deskins, all of Myrtle Beach, SC. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Susan (Daniel) Riddick of Richmond, VA; Scott
(Bree) Eggleston of Myrtle Beach, SC; Jake Deskins of Charlotte, NC and Bailey Deskins of Charleston, SC; and great-grandchildren Hudson Riddick, Lillie Riddick, and Olly Eggleston, all to whom he was affectionately known as Grandie.

Bob was the owner of Deskins Grocery Store on College Avenue in Bluefield. He was President of Deskins Candy Company until his death. Bob was an avid golfer with many fond memories of Bluefield Country Club. He will be warmly remembered for his strong faith, work ethic, and kindness.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 14 at 1:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM at McMillan-Small Funeral Home in Myrtle Beach. Burial will follow at Ocean Woods Memorial Cemetery in Myrtle Beach.
