Virginia "Ginny" Powers

Virginia Dora “Ginny” Powers, 90, wife of Douglas Powers, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Powers was born on August 27,1931 in Hornell, New York, daughter of the late Herbert I. Mess and Iona Ames Mess. 

Surviving is her husband, Douglas Powers; children, Lori Christensen (Charlie Sharpe), David Taillie (Carol) and Kathy Barkley; stepchildren, Bill Powers (Diane), Bob Powers (Darlene) and Rick Powers (Linda); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Mary Lu Divirgilio; sister-in-law, Jean Mess; and her loved pet, Sadie.

Memorial service will be 11:00 AM, Friday, June 3, 2022, at McMillan-Small Funeral Home Chapel in Myrtle Beach. The services will also be live streamed at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 3, 2022, on the McMillan-Small Funeral Home and Crematory website @ www.msfh.net .
