Virginia Dare Williamson Stalvey, 99, the daughter of Mathew Lenton and Effie Lundia Williamson was born in Ash, North Carolina on September 22, 1926 and died on December 13, 2025, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
She is predeceased by her husband, Perry LeRoy Stalvey, Sr., and is survived by her five children Wayne C. Stalvey (Joan) of Tallahassee, Florida, Chyrel Stalvey, Eric Stalvey, Phillip G. Stalvey (Teri) and Perry LeRoy Stalvey Jr. (Melissa), 13 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She is survived by one brother, Hubert L. Williamson (Louise) of Newport News, Virginia, and predeceased by her siblings, Leamon Williamson (Lizzie Lee), Maggie Neil Ditto (Bill), Margaret, Carolyn Carlisle (J.T.) and Frances Radvansky (Bob).
She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in numerous callings including two missions-one to the Navajo Indian Reservation with her husband and one in the Atlanta Georgia Temple. She was sealed to her husband and children for time and all eternity in the Logan Utah Temple.
She was a homemaker, and her favorite pastime was going to the beach, watching the Atlanta Braves, North Carolina and Duke men’s basketball, and Gunsmoke.
She loved cooking, sewing, and tending to her flowers, and working in the garden.
Her posterity was her greatest pride and joy.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at The Myrtle Beach Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints.
Then family will receive friends from 12:45 – 1:45 PM prior to the service.
