Timothy Mark Bolton, 62, passed away peacefully at his home in Myrtle Beach, SC surrounded by his family on Tuesday, March 10th. Tim was born on October 12th, 1963 to Beverly Frank and Johnny R. Bolton in Flint, MI. After he graduated from Carmen High School in 1981, he went on to complete his Criminal Justice degree at Saginaw Valley State University. After which, he moved to Charlotte, NC where he worked as a law enforcement officer at the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department for 29 years.
In 2017, Tim retired and spent his time with his beloved children, Hunter Bolton, Emily Bolton, and Olivia Bolton, as well as being a great pop-pop to his grandchildren Luke and Addie. He loved skiing, walking his dog, spending time on the beach, playing tennis and pickle ball, hosting family and friends, as well as practicing his faith.
Tim was preceded in death by his father Johnny R. Bolton.
In addition to his children and grandchildren, Tim is survived by his mother, Beverly Frank, his brothers Johnny Bolton Jr and Michael Bolton, and sister in law Sandra Bolton, daughter in law, Rachel Bolton, his nephew Cameron Bolton and his nieces Abby Adkins, Ellie Bolton, and Heather Zintsmaster and his girlfriend Jennifer Croft.
Services will be held at McMillan-Small Funeral home on March 16th at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Ocean Woods Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to The American Lung Association.
His children want to extend a special thank you to Jennifer and Mike, as well as the many friends and neighbors who went above and beyond to help care for our father. Your kindness and love meant so much to our family and we are beyond grateful for all that you did for him.
