Teresa Anne Elston

 On March 26th, the world lost a great light with the passing of Teresa Anne Elston at the age of 63 in Myrtle Beach.

She is survived by her mother Yolanda Dumphy of Tunnel, NY. and three siblings including Michael Dumphy of Southington, CT, Patricia McIntyre of Myrtle Beach and William Dumphy of Williamsburg, VA

Her life was one of adventure and Love. After high school, she left Cumberland, MD for Washington D.C. where she attended college and eventually gained employment at the Central Intelligence Agency which took her to the west coast. After a time, Teresa started a new career in advertising which spanned more than 30 years from coast to coast.  She worked at Ad firms in Los Angeles, New York City and Washington, D.C. which enabled her to work on projects across the globe.

Her experiences at the US Festival in the early 80’s, climbing the stone steps up to Machu Picchu in Peru and working in Guatemala building infrastructure in countryside villages that provided the people with clean drinking water were just some of the things that gave her a deep appreciation for Life.

That new Light within her shown through to all she met on her Journey that concluded in Myrtle Beach which she made her home. She had a smile and a hug for everyone.  However, she had a very special Light for her nieces and nephews whom she loved so dearly.

Her surviving husband had that same Light and Love for her. She will be missed, yet, forever in our hearts.
