Ted H. Mullinix

Ted Herman Mullinix, 93, of Long Bay Estates, Myrtle Beach, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at Inlet Oaks Assisted Living.

Mr. Mullinix was born on July 30, 1930 in Montgomery County, NC to Jesse Matthew Mullinix and Stella Morris Mullinix.

He and his wife were co-owners of Cash Grocery for over 40 years. He was a member of Oasis Shrine Temple and Troy Masonic Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Gertrude Mullinix, brothers, Robert Mullinix, Marvin Mullinix, and Bill Mullinix. Also, sisters, Thelma Kearns, Julia Saunders, and Ruth Lisenby.

Survivors include his son, Mike Mullinix of Myrtle Beach, SC; daughter, Teresa Mullinix Johnson of Myrtle Beach, SC; five grandchildren, Chad Mullinix of Myrtle Beach, SC, Melinda Knowles of Conway, SC, Ginger Holland(Ben) of Atlanta, GA, Matthew Knowles of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Katie Lunn(Shawn) of Atlanta, GA; six great-grandchildren, Grayson Mullinix, Izzy Mullinix, Graham Lunn, Eleanor Holland, Camden Dayton, and Rhyan Knowles.

A graveside service will be at Uwharrie United Methodist Church in Troy, NC on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 11:00 AM with his grandson, Chad Mullinix officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
