Susan Dianne Williamson Melton, 75, of Conway, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.
Born on October 12, 1950, Susan was the daughter of the late Preston Leroy Williamson, Jr. and Hellon June Hembree. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Everette Melton, who passed away in May 2004; her parents, Preston Leroy Williamson Jr. and Hellon June Hembree; and her brother, Preston Leroy Williamson III.
Susan shared 36 years of marriage with her husband, Everette Melton, whom she married on June 22, 1968. Together, they were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where they were baptized and faithfully served in various roles in the church, including in the Relief Society.
She is survived by her loving children: Everette Glenn Melton of Conway, SC; Shannon Dianne Drake (Jim) of Loris, SC; Sherri Ann Britt (Brooklyn) of Nichols, SC; and Jeffery Keith Melton of Conway, SC. Susan also leaves behind six grandsons: Russ Davison (Cassie) of Myrtle Beach; Justin Davison (Maci), Tyler Davison (Hannah), both of Loris, SC; Blake Davison (Cassidy) of Nichols, SC; Christopher Drake (Alexsis) of Georgia; and Jacob Drake of Charleston, SC. She was blessed with eleven great-grandchildren: Haven, Reagan, Rowan, Ava, Jonas, Jaxsin, Gavin, Makenzie, Alaina, Bailee, and Alek.
She is also survived by her siblings: Calvin Terry Williamson, Bonnie Jean Haynes, Patti Rai Shaver, and Jon Lyn Williamson.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at McMillan-Small Funeral Home located at 910 67th Ave. N, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 10:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 450 Dunn Short Cut Road, Conway, SC 29527.
Interment will follow at the Florence National Cemetery located at 803 E National Cemetery Rd. Florence, SC 29506.
Susan will always be remembered for her tireless devotion to her family, her strong faith, and the unconditional love she shared with all who knew her.
