Stathis "Steve" Paraschis

Stathis “Steve” Paraschis, 75, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023, in his family home in Conway, SC, surrounded by his wife and children.

Steve was born on July 24, 1947, in Filiatra, Greece, son of the late Stefanos Paraschis and Eugenia Sourtziotis Paraschis. He was a Veteran of the Greek Army and was a Merchant Marine specializing in Engineering. Steve also attended Northeastern University in Boston, MA. He was Greek Orthodox and believed tremendously in his faith. Steve loved all sports, especially the Baltimore Ravens, Baltimore Orioles, and all Soccer teams. 

Surviving is his wife of 48 years, Fannie Gulielmis Paraschis; children, Jeannie Paraschis and Ronnie Lane, George Paraschis and Katie Strauss, and Efi Pattas; grandchildren, Demetrius Paraschis, AJ Brown, III and Willow Paraschis; siblings, Anthony and Patti Nickolopoulos, Spyros Paraschis, Katina, and Alekos Billiardis; many nieces and nephews; and many close friends that were just like immediate family. 

Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Monday, March 20, 2023, at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in Myrtle Beach, SC. 

The family will receive friends at 10:30 am, Monday, March 20, 2023, at the church prior to the service.

Burial will follow at Westside Memorial Gardens, 2525 W. Road, Conway, SC.
