On Friday, January 20, 2023, Sharleen Dale Blake, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and woman in Christ went to be with the Lord at the age of 72. Sharleen was born on October 17, 1950 in Baltimore, MD to Audrey and Charles Gianforte. Sharleen was the eldest of five children and spent her childhood and school-age years in Baltimore, MD.

Sharleen met the love of her life, David J. Blake, in December 1970. They were married in October of 1971 and spent 51 wonderful years together full of love and joy. Dave and Sharleen lived in Maryland until 2014 when they moved to Conway, South Carolina.

Sharleen loved God and knew Christ as her savior! Sharleen loved spending time with her family, providing love, compassion and selflessness beyond measure. She enjoyed spending time with her friends playing games, cards or simply enjoying their company. She was actively involved in her church through bible studies, fellowship and prayer groups. She worked for her father’s trucking and transport business for many years eventually co-owning and operating the business with her brother prior to his passing and her retiring.

Sharleen's love touched the lives and hearts of everyone she encountered. Sharleen was preceded in death by her father, Charles Gianforte, her mother, Audrey Gianforte, her brother Chuck Gianforte and sister Terri Gianforte. She is survived by her husband David Blake, her sister Christine Rau and her brother Michael Gianforte. Sharleen and Dave have 2 children: David Joseph Blake Jr. (DJ) and Jeffrey Lawrence Blake, Grandchildren: Jeffrey Blake Jr., Melanie Blake, Connor Blake, Lilliana Blake (Lilli), Addilyn Blake (Addi), Joseph Reed and Lindsay Bancroft.

A celebration of life gathering will be held in South Carolina at Carolina Forest Community Church on 02/25/2023 at 3:00PM.
