Shannon Maria Pogacnik

Shannon Maria Pogacnik of Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away on the morning of Wednesday, January 14th, 2026 at age 55. 

Born in Philadelphia, PA on February 12th, 1970.  Daughter of Bill and Suzanne Vile, step daughter of Maureen Vile. 

Her career was with CVS Pharmacy for 26 years, in all positions from cashier to store manager. She managed nine different stores in PA and SC.  Her passion was training employees. 

She loved crafting, shopping and thrifting, and dining out at her favorite restaurants. She was strong willed, fierce, kind, caring, smart, reliable, and adventurous. The beach was her happy place.  

Shannon is survived by her husband, Larry Pogacnik, who she married September 1st, 2010. Her children Ashley Brough and Tyler Brough, step children John (Jill) Pogacnik, Kelly (Andy) Goodman, and Matthew (Sarah) Pogacnik. Eight grandchildren, and her siblings Kimberly (Dave) Sims of Philadelphia, PA, Dana Cecil of Woodsfield, OH, Kelly Vile of Woodsfield, OH, Brooke Vile of Los Angeles, CA, and Billy (Holly) Vile of Turnersville, NJ. 

Shannon was preceded in death by her mother Suzanne Vile and brother in law Dustin Cecil. 

A celebration of her life is planned for family at a later date.  In keeping with her wishes, there will be no public viewing or funeral service. Arrangements are handled with McMillan-Small Funeral Home.
