Roy Rodman Johnson

Roy Rodman Johnson, a beloved father, grandfather and friend passed away on March 22, 2025 at the age of 83 years old in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He was born on December 15, 1941 in Jacksonville, Illinois. He had a successful career as a Professional Engineer building power plants and retired early and enjoyed life.

He is survived by his loving son, Roy Johnson II a.k.a RJ (wife Holly), daughter, Heather Johnson-Dunnings (husband Jonathan Dunnings), grandsons, Seantay, Zane and Payton., and sister, Joan Wright and longtime companion, Judy Allen of Myrtle Beach, SC and other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents Roy William Johnson and Ethel Mae Johnson (nee Winningham), brother, Gary Johnson and sister Veronica Ringer. Roy was also survived by other family members and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday March 25, 2025. Lunch will be served at 11:30 am, visitation will be from 12:00pm-2:00pm followed by a service at 2:00pm at McMillan-Small Funeral Home located at 910 67th Avenue North, Myrtle Beach, SC with Rev. Joel McMakin officiating. 

Burial will be held at a later date in Jacksonville, IL.
