Roger Hoyt Kline, 82 passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024, after a long illness.
He was born in Fairmont, WV, the son of the late Hoyt B. Kline and Velma S. Kline. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. He owned M&M Food Wholesale in WV. He and his family relocated to Myrtle Beach in 1982, where he continued working in food sales. He was a member of the Masons. He enjoyed sharing his stories from his time in the Navy with friends and past customers. Besides the beach, his favorite spot was behind the wheel of his ski boat.
He was predeceased by his wife, Veronica “Butchie” Regina Kline, sister, Nancy “Patti” Costello (David), and nephew, Sam Resetar. He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Kline Godbold (Walter), and Sherri Kline Gray, grandchildren, Spencer Gray, William Gray, Emily Anne Godbold, Ross Godbold, and Sidney Gray, great-grandchild, Kyler.
The family would like to thank his very special caregiver, Betsy Wilson.
A celebration of his life will be held at a future date.
