Robert “Bob” Raymond Hood of the Forestbrook Community in Myrtle Beach, SC passed away unexpectedly on July 29, 2024 at home. He was born on March 19, 1966 in Baltimore, Maryland, the son of Charlotte May Romonouskas and the late Charles Joseph Hood.
Robert Hood was a veteran of the US. Navy, serving on the USS Nimitz CVN 68 during Dessert Storm. He dedicated his life to service, both in the military and his community.
Robert Hood is survived by his wife of 23 years, Doreen Hood of Myrtle Beach; step-mother, Andrea Hood of Myrtle Beach; sister, Deanna Platson (Mark) of Conway; step-brother, David Kelly; half-brother, Jason Hood; half-brother, Eric Cook; nephew, Chandler; nephew, Bailey (Emily); niece, Kirsten; niece, Katie
(Nathaniel); and several great-nephews & great-nieces.
A Memorial Service to honor Robert’s life and military service will be held at a later date.
