Robert Callen passed away from a brain aneurysm at Grand Strand Hospital on May 6, 2023. He was the son of the late Robert “Bob”
Callen and Mary Callen.
Robert was a proud and loving father to Tristan and Olivia. He had an adventure for life that was never ending, and his energy and outlook
was infectious. He loved the outdoors passionately, especially surfing, snowboarding, hiking, camping, and skateboarding. He genuinely
preferred to be outdoors. He also had a deep love for Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead. Robert left an unforgettable impression on most. He loved life and lived
every moment. He was a bright comet flashing through the sky burning brightly and loving passionately. If you knew Robert, you knew he was
pure energy, always moving. He was kind, true, and thoughtful to everyone he met. His time on earth was cut short, but he left a great
legacy that will live on forever.
Survivors include his loving wife Rebekah Hurt Callen of Myrtle Beach, SC; his beloved son Tristan Callen of Athens, Georgia, and his beloved
step- daughter Olivia Alvey, of Myrtle Beach, SC., and a numerous host of extended family who loved him very much.
A private family memorial is planned at a later date.
