Richard Anthony Kurdyla

Richard Kurdyla, (DOC), age 74, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, formerly of Morristown, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born in Illinois to the late Adolph and Sylvia Kurdyla. Richard attended Roselle Catholic High School and went on to graduate from Seton Hall University.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; his brothers, Mark and Jimmy; his two stepsons, Hunter (Joanna) and Trevor; and his beloved dog, Dazy, to whom he was a devoted dad. He was predeceased by his parents, Adolph and Sylvia.

Richard loved fishing, valued his freedom, and had a deep appreciation for life. He will be remembered for his strong spirit, his love for his family, and the lasting impact he had on those who knew him.

A celebration of Richard’s life will be held at a future date.
