Regina Dorsey devoted Wife (widow of James Dorsey 1999) Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother, passed May 10, 2022.
Regina was a retired Nurse RN and longtime resident of North Myrtle Beach SC. She was devoted to her Catholic faith, she always went above and beyond to pray for others, share her faith and enlighten others. Regina loved to read, travel, talk with friends / family, laugh and going out to lunch with her friends.
Regina hailed from Brooklyn NY, obtained her nursing degree from Long Island College Hospital in 1950, worked as Preemie Nurse out of college. Regina married James Dorsey in 1954, she met Jim on a blind date setup by one of her patients, who later became her Mother-in-law. She left nursing career to raise her children, and returned to nursing, working geriatrics once her children were grown,
Regina is survived by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, North Myrtle Beach followed by inurnment in the Church columbarium.
