Raymond M. Wilson, age 89, of Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away from this life to his eternal home in Heaven on February 3, 2025 in Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.
Raymond was born in Pittsylvania County, Virginia to the late Conrad Arthur Wilson and Charmie W. Wilson. He was married to Ann Taylor Brumfield on November 9, 1956. Ann was the love of his life and she stayed by his side and took care of him through all of his illnesses.
Raymond attended Schoolfield High School and Danville Community College. He served in the U.S. Army from 1958-1960 as a Medic. He worked for the Virginia Department of Taxation before retiring from the Virginia Employment Commission in Danville, VA.
He was a born-again child of God and a faithful member of Third Avenue Christian Church and later Mount Hermon Baptist Church in Danville. After moving to South Carolina he became a member of the First Baptist Church of North Myrtle Beach.
He was preceded in death by his son, Keith Wilson, and sisters Dorothy Mays and Oneida Turner, and a brother, Conrad Wilson. He is survived by a sister, Jacqueline Faye Ibrom in Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews in Virginia, North Carolina and Texas.
No memorial services are planned for Myrtle Beach. Friends and family are welcome to visit at the residence.
