Randy Clary Young

Randy Clary Young, 71, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, suddenly departed this earthly life on May 1, 2023 while tending his glorious vegetable garden. Randy was born in 1951 in Conway,
South Carolina. He lovingly shared his birthday (and nearly everything else) with his wife of 47 years, Jane (“Janie”) Hathaway Young. Randy and Janie shared two children, Rachel (Shaun) Fields and Daniel Young, and two grandchildren, Elliott and Jonah Fields.

Randy was guided through this life by his strong faith in his Heavenly Father and he generously and enthusiastically shared his faith with others throughout his life. He was a carpenter, an inventor, a baker, a fisherman, a whistler, a learner, and much, much more. 

He never met a stranger and never thought up something he couldn't build.

Randy was predeceased by his mother, Charlotte Young, his father, Simon Young, his brother, Ed (Joan) Young and sisters, Barbara (Larry) Hyman and Vela Mae (Hank) Rowe.

He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, brother, Wesley Young, sister, Liz (Pat) Kirk, and more cousins, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews than you can shake a stick at, who dearly love and will miss “Uncle Randy.” 

Funeral services will be held at McMillan-Small Funeral Home on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 2pm. A visitation will immediately precede the funeral services beginning at 1pm. The funeral committal will take place at Ocean Woods Memorial Cemetery following the funeral service.
