Ralph Edward Formato

Ralph Edward Formato born August 19, 1971, in Orange, NJ, passed into eternity to be with his Lord and
Savior on October 15, 2024. His sweet, caring, and beloved wife Jill Branco Formato, was with him.
Ralph, the only son and seventh born child to Ralph and Michaelina Formato of Bell Street, Orange NJ,
he leaves behind this side of heaven his three sons, Kenneth Formato and wife Kate – Daniel Formato
and Michael Formato and his two grandchildren Rhett and Riggs. All his children live nearby – keeping
family close, and their love strong.
His nature at work was to put his best effort into all his jobs. Ralph recently owned his own home
improvement business. He was also a regular attendee and active safety volunteer at Carolina Forest

Community Church in Myrtle Beach for 12 years. He received his Reverend Certificate at the age of 53.
A proud achievement for Ralph, affirming his love for Jesus Christ and His word.
As an avid outdoorsman, occasional hunter, and energetic adventurer, you could find him many times
hiking with Jill, riding with his sons, or at his property in Green Sea. He planned outings and trips to
always engage with his family and relatives.
Ralph always found joy in being with his family. His first and only love, Jill, was totally honored in his life,
and the testimony of his Christian marriage will surpass his life on earth. The way they cared for each
other showed tenderness. Ralph was obviously a Christian first and then a loving spouse, caring father,
exceptional grandfather, cherished brother, brother-in-law, kind uncle, and a fun loving, full-of- life
friend! He was generous with his time, laughs and experiences. One could count on a good, wholesome
time, when being with Ralph.
Ralph predeceased by his wife Jill Formato of 31 years. Ralph predeceases his five sisters – Michele
Giuliano, Marie Anen and husband Paul Meaker, Lorraine Formato, Nancy Gayer and husband Ken,
Lucille Rodino and husband Joe. Ralph was predeceased by his parents Ralph and Michaelina Formato
and sister JoAnn Formato El-Halim.
Leaving behind nephews, and mainly laughing buddies – Anthony Giuliano, George Anen and wife
Donna, Michael Mata, Louis El-Halim, Alex Gayer, Charlie and Liam Pellicano. Nieces who cared so much
for Ralph and Jill and kept them smiling – Nevina Giuliano, Melanie and husband John Klingerman, Josie
Gayer, Angelica Branco, and Adria Feingold. Great nieces and great nephews too, will be missing Uncle
Ralph’s energetic and adventurous heart, and his caring generosity towards his family.
A celebration of Life service for Ralph will be held on Saturday October 26, 2024, 11:00 AM at the
Carolina Forest Community Church, 1381 Carolina Forest Blvd., Myrtle Beach, SC 29579.

His favorite verse was Isaiah 40:30-31
“Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.”

Until we see Ralph again, our days will be filled with memories of his life tremendously lived, and
a genuine heart of love given to those he knew. We will miss you greatly Ralphie.
