Peggy Ann (Nobles) Schaefer

Peggy Ann (Nobles) Schaefer, age ninety, of Conway, SC, went to be with Jesus on August 8, 2026. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed.

She was born on May 16, 1936, in Horry County, South Carolina, a daughter to Dola E. and Alberta Hill Nobles. She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings Thomas D. Nobles, Louise Tyler, and Mary Kennedy.  

She is survived by her devoted husband Bruce K. Schaefer of forty-nine years. She is also survived by her two sons Doug Dyar (Kim) and Joseph Dyar (Pamela) along with three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Peggy never met a stranger and quickly renamed everyone darling or baby. She will be remembered for her love of family who was her pride and joy. While her family mourns her loss, they also celebrate a life well lived and a love that will continue to guide them forever.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Friday, August 14, 2026, at McMillan-Small Funeral Home with Dr. J. Kirk Lawton officiating. Burial will follow at Ocean Woods Memorial Cemetery.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
