Peggy R. Dyar

On Monday evening, June 27th 2022, Peggy Sue Dyar of Surfside, SC, passed away suddenly in her home.

She was a strong defender of family, faith, and loved others unconditionally. 

She loved her family, friends, and especially her grandbabies. She was a natural caregiver for both young and old, and lived to serve others. She was a great example of loving one’s neighbor, which in her case, was literally anyone and everyone who crossed her path. 

Nonnie will be remembered for her amazing hugs, her boisterous laugh, and her willingness to celebrate on all occasions. She was outgoing, artistic, and crafty – always willing to supply her talents to help in any occasion.  We love you, Nonnie, and you will be in our hearts forever.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Boyd “Bubba” Dyar.  She is also survived by her children:  John, Alicia (Andy), Amy (Cliff), Heather, and Stephanie; as well as 8 grandchildren: Kayla, Sarah, Dani, Michal, Lydia, Braidon, Daisy, and Kenny. 

A memorial service will be held at McMillan-Small funeral Home on 910 67th Ave. N. in Myrtle Beach, SC.

The viewing is at 10:00 am, with a service following at 11:00 am on Tuesday,  July 5th, 2022.
