Pauline Bellavance Obituary

Pauline F. Bellavance, 66, passed away Friday, April 2, 2021 in Myrtle Beach. Born November 28, 1954 in Waltham, MA, daughter of the late William D. Petrie and Nora (Molloy) Sprague. A very beloved wife to her husband Robert Bellavance for over 35 wonderful years. During her illness, Covid restrictions prevented visitation by family. Despite the isolation, she remained ever graceful and embraced and was embraced by the many compassionate nurses at Grand Strand Regional Hospital who cared for her day in and day out.

Pauline worked as a Social Worker for more than twenty years with the Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance and worked as a Teen Parent Specialist.  Some hobbies she enjoyed included gardening at home and was a member of the Mansfield (MA) Garden Club, jam making for family and friends, going to yard sales with her friends, collecting teacups, and watching romantic Hallmark movies. During her time in Ireland, she became a pledged member of The Pioneer Total Abstinence Association of the Sacred Heart and proudly wore her pledge pin.

Pauline is survived by her three siblings: William O. (wife Karen) Petrie of Newcastle, OK, Kathleen ( husband Gene) Keady of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Coleen Bellavance of Myrtle Beach, SC, her three children: Colette Cormier of Moultrie, GA, Shannon (husband Andy) Shropshire of Lakeland, TN, and Nicholas (wife Jillian Cornoni) Bellavance of Uxbridge, MA, children she loved as her own: Alyssa (husband Jake) MacGlashing of Rye, NH, Christine Bellavance of Mansfield, MA, and Leah Bellavance of Boxboro, MA, and Nanas grandchildren: Ethan and Aidan Shropshire, Emma and Cora Zimmerman, Ainsley and Adelyne MacGlashing.

She was preceded in death by her parents William D. Petrie and Nora Sprague, and her brother Kevin Petrie.
