Patricia Michelle McCurry

Patricia Michelle McCurry, age 70, of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Patricia was the beloved daughter of the late Albert Whalen and Hester Whalen.

Patricia built a successful career as a Resource Manager with Ernst & Young, where she worked for many years before retiring. She was known for her dedication, professionalism, and the friendships she formed throughout her career.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffrey McCurry. She is survived by her loving children, Kimberly de Bruyn Kops and Michael McCurry, and her son-in-law, Jan Willem de Bruyn Kops. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Ethan de Bruyn Kops and Owen de Bruyn Kops, children of Kimberly and Jan Willem, and Kali McCurry, Liam McCurry, Canaan McCurry, and Myles McCurry, children of Michael.

She is also survived by her sister, Cindy VanElls and her husband, Mike VanElls, and her nieces Leslie Fentress and Shannon VanElls. She was preceded in death by her niece, Briana VanElls.

Patricia loved spending time outdoors and enjoying the simple pleasures of life. She had a passion for golf and pickleball, cherished relaxing days at the beach, and especially enjoyed traveling and creating memories with family and friends. Her warm spirit, love for her family, and joy for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Patricia’s life will be held on April 7th at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel- 412 Washington Rd, Westminster, MD 21157; visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by the service at 12:00 p.m.

A funeral service will be held on April 9th at McMillan-Small Funeral Home & Crematory- 910 67th Ave N. Myrtle Beach, SC 29572; visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m.

Patricia will be remembered for her vibrant spirit and the love she shared with those around her.
