Patricia Merrell Deskins

Patricia Merrell Deskins, 85, wife of Willard Robinson Deskins, Jr., died Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Embrace Hospice House, Myrtle Beach, SC.

She was born June 23, 1936 in Betsy Layne, KY, the daughter of the late James Alexander and Irene Wallace Merrell.

Mrs. Deskins was a retired professor from Bluefield College, in Bluefield, VA. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and a member of the Rhododendron Garden Club in Bluefield, WV.

Survivors including her husband are: one son, Timothy Merrell Deskins and wife, Sally of Myrtle Beach, SC; one daughter, Tami Eggleston and husband, Jeff of Myrtle Beach, SC; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren who were the joy of her life, Susan Riddick(Daniel) of Richmond, VA, Scott Eggleston(Bree) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Jake Deskins of Charlotte, NC, and Bailey Deskins of Myrtle Beach, SC; and the great-grands, Hudson and Lillie Riddick, and Oliver Eggleston.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at 12:00 PM at McMillan-Small Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Ocean Woods Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive from 11:00 AM - until service time at the funeral home.
