Orladean Kay (Smith) Pringle

Orladean “Laurie” Kay Pringle, 77, of Longs, SC, rose to the throne of her Everlasting Father on Thursday, August 26, 2021. She passed peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orval and Iris Smith, two brothers Chuck Smith and Greg Smith and a sister, Cherryl Smith.

She attended Friendship Baptist Church in Myrtle Beach. She came to the area from Michigan in 1997. Laurie spent her life as a homemaker. She was a loving mother, grandmother, friend, and most importantly a steadfast woman of the living God. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren’s sports and dance activities, including football games, the Nutcracker, and various dance competitions. 

Survivors include her daughter, Stacy James, who she lived with and was her caretaker the last eleven years; her son, Steve Pringle of Kent Island, MD; her daughter Jeanette Wood of Punta Gorda, FL; and six grandchildren: Josef, Logan, Caleb, Luke, Abigail, and Hannah.

The family will be receiving friends at Friendship Baptist Church, 608 6th Ave S, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577, Tuesday, August 31, 2021. Visitation at the church will be Tuesday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Longs, SC.
