Myron L. Brown of Myrtle Beach peacefully met his Lord and Savior on January 4th, 2026, in the presence of his loving family.
Myron was a true entrepreneur and inventor in the business world, driven by grit, knowledge, and passion for success. His achievements afforded him the opportunity to travel the world, further fueling his personal love of exploration. Myron cherished the water and flying, and when he wasn’t working, he could always be found investing his time and heart into his greatest accomplishment—his family. In later years, Myron would sit on his back porch and talk to his grandchildren for hours.
Myron was born on September 14, 1936, in Youngstown, Ohio to Chester and Ruth Anderson Brown (both predeceased). He was preceded in death by his brother Kenneth. He is survived by his siblings Evelyn (Ebie) Latham (Cecil-predeceased), Rev. Dr. Curtiss (Catherine) and Karen Lodwick (Dick).
Myron is survived by his wife of almost 70 years, Carole; his daughters, Diane, Jacalyn (Michael Griffith), and Linda Swierenga (Jim); his son, Tom (Nikki); twelve grandchildren—Tommy, Aaron, Hillary, Christian, Caroline, Abbey, Dominic, Liz, Andrea, Jake, John, and Nick—and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Myron has always been faithful to the local church wherever he lived. Here in Myrtle Beach, Ocean View Baptist Church was his home.
Celebration of Life will be held on January 10th, 2026, at Ocean View Baptist Church, 7300 N. Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach. Visitation will begin at 10:15am, followed by the service at 11am.
