Michael Patrick Whelan

Michael P. Whelan, 65, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 30, 2021.  Born on April 9, 1956, in Miami, Florida.  A son to the late, Clara P. Johnson and Charles William Whelan.

Mr. Whelan was a carpenter most of his life.   Using his carpentry talents he created beautiful furniture.

He was also a gifted musician and played the guitar.  Gardening and cooking were just a couple of his passions.

He is survived by one son, Jason M. Whelan and his wife, Jamie and one granddaughter, Sydney Whelan.  He is also survived by one sister, Deborah Hightower and three brothers, Jeffrey Whelan, Daniel Whelan, and Joseph Johnson. 

There will be a memorial/celebration of life service at 12:00 pm on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Southern Palms Memorial Gardens in the mausoleum.

Any flowers or live plants can be delivered by 11:00 am on Saturday, October 9, 2021 to the mausoleum.
