Myrtle Beach | Michael S. Smith, 62, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021, in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Mr. Smith was born December 16, 1958, in Dreux, France, to the late Roy W. and Marianne E. Smith.

Mr. Smith was a graduate of Socastee High School and the University of South Carolina, with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He had a long career as a computer systems engineer/architect with IBM and DynamixGroup Inc.

Surviving are two brothers, Walter R. Smith and his wife, Frances, of Denver, NC, and Mark A. Smith and his wife, Terri, of Surfside Beach; two nieces and two nephews.

The family will have a private burial service.
