Michael Clinton Huffstetler

Michael Clinton Huffstetler, 70, of Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away August 27, 2021 in Myrtle Beach.  Born in Gastonia, NC, Michael was a son of the late Coite Clinton Huffstetler and Jessie (Brimer) Huffstetler.  Beside his parents Michael was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years (July 09, 1952 – August 20, 2021) Kaye (McFall) Huffstetler.

He was an active and devoted long time member of the Garden City Baptist Church and was devoted to his wife and family.  Michael was a masonic member, attaining the level of York Right Knights Templar and had been Past Master of his Lodge.  He retired as a North Carolina State Trooper.  He enjoyed fishing and a round of golf as well as sitting on the beach.  He loved his dog, “Riley Bird” and his red Corvette.

Survivors include two daughters, Julia Owens and husband Michael, Amber Huffstetler; a son, Michael B. Huffstetler and wife Maria; a sister, Teresa Puckett and husband Charlie; a brother, Gary Huffstetler and wife Sharon; nine grandchildren, Zach, David, Christina, Regina, Dianne, JoAnna, Matthew, Holly, Justin; great-grandchild, Ezra; and a special cousin, Beverly Delahunty and husband Kevin.

Michael’s life was celebrated along with his wife Kaye at a service originally scheduled for only Kaye Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Garden City Baptist Church.
