Michael Allen Dixon, 55, of Myrtle Beach, SC passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his wife and children. Born in Frederick, MD, he was the son of Paul Edward and Janice Wine. He is survived by his loving wife, Laura Carson Dixon; his son, Bradley Allen Dixon; his daughter, Stephanie Anne Dixon and her fiancé Campbell Mitchell; his mother Janice Wine; and his brothers Paul Dixon III, Brian Dixon and their families.

Known by his friends as Mike (or Rhino), he wore many hats. He was a U.S. Army veteran, baseball and softball star, Red Sox fanatic, golfer, software engineer, philanthropist of veteran charities, DJ and photographer by hobby, cosplayer and actor – but most importantly, he was a family man. He was a warrior, and he battled cancer with strength, poise and bravery. He was loyal and kind, an instant friend to all. He leaves behind a legacy of creativity, unconditional love and a zest for life.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held at 4:00 PM, January 17, 2022 at McMillan-Small Funeral Home, 910 67th Avenue North, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572. Visitation will follow the service at the funeral home until 7:00 PM.
