Mary Ann Kinnally, 71, passed away in her home, surrounded by her family, on August 25th. She is survived by her husband of forty years, Tom, her son, Michael, her daughter, Luciann, her two brothers, Larry and Mike, and her sisters-in-law Patty and Kathleen. Mary Ann was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1951. She graduated from Brooklyn College with a degree in History and English, but went on to study nursing. She became a Registered Nurse in 1979 and spent thirty-five years working in hospitals and doctor’s offices. She loved being a nurse, and was passionate about educating patients, families, and new nurses. She lived on Long Island with her family for twenty-five years before retiring and moving to Myrtle Beach, where she became an active member in several community clubs and organizations. Mary Ann was a voracious reader, who loved to garden, travel, spend time outdoors, do crossword puzzles, and be with her family and dog. She was kind and generous and could never say no to anyone who needed help. She was a wonderful mother, a loving wife, and an incredible friend.
A celebration of Mary Ann’s life will be held in Myrtle Beach at the Carolina Forest Recreation Center on September 4th from 2pm-5pm, followed by a celebration in New York in October.
