Ann Bradley Rogers of Myrtle Beach passed away on November 7, 2021. Born July 20, 1935 in Gadsden Alabama, Ann was a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother. She was also a dancer, water skier, swimmer and very talented artist.
Ann met her husband Joe in high school, and they were married for 70 years. Together they enjoyed wonderful times at the lake and beach, dancing together, taking cruises, and the occasional round of golf. Ann loved gardening and grew beautiful flowers that were frequently the subjects of her paintings. A gifted artist, Ann painted in many mediums with subjects ranging from landscapes, to birds, to flowers, to portrait work. She loved giving back to her community by donating artwork to the Myrtle Beach Art Museum’s Collectors Event, supporting her church, and giving to the New Directions Women’s Shelter.
Ann’s greatest joy was being a mother to her two boys, David and Larry. She was a second mom to her “daughters-in-love”, Betty and Mary Jo, and a beloved grandmother to Anna Rogers Davis.
In addition to her husband, children and grandchild, Ann is survived by her sister, Sherrie McPherson of Auburn Alabama and two great grandchildren, Micah and Kylie Davis.
A celebration of life will be held at McMillan Small Funeral Home at 4:00 pm on Friday, November 12, 2021 with visitation following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Art Museum of Myrtle Beach, New Directions of Horry County or Ocean View Baptist Church.
