Marilyn White McClellan

Marilyn “Butchie” White McClellan passed away on September 22, 2026 at her home in Myrtle Beach, SC.

She is survived by her sons Craig (Tampa, Fl) and Christopher (Myrtle Beach, SC), grandchildren Nathan McClellan (Daytona Beach, FL), Emily Patten (Jacksonville, FL), Allyson McClellan (Paris, FR), great grandchildren Morgan Rae McClellan and Nash Brooks Patten, as well as brother Paige White (Parkville, MO) and Steffanie Foote (Lexington, NC).

She now enters heaven to join her husband R. Cliff “Junior” McClellan, parents Lionel and Elizabeth White, sister Barbara M. White, and her beloved dog “Ruby.”

Born in Logan, WV, on December16, 1938, Marilyn was a proud graduate of Logan High School where she was a majorette, and member of both Topsy Turvy and Alpha Xi Pacesetters. She was also a graduate of Columbus Business School. She enjoyed a long career that included the Logan Hardware and Roanoke County Schools (Green Valley Elementary School), as well as being a great mother.

Following a private family service, she will be interred at Franklin Memorial Park in Rocky Mount, Va.
