Margaret Lanzetta Obituary

Margaret “Peggy” Lanzetta, 73, passed away on June 5, 2022 surrounded by her husband and her children.  Peggy was born on April 9, 1949 in Queens, New York.  She was the youngest child of John and Elsie McManus.  Peggy grew up in Valley Stream, New York and lived in East Rockaway and Freeport, New York until she retired 6 years ago to Myrtle Beach, New York.  Peggy graduated from Valley Stream Central High School in Valley Stream, New York.

Peggy married Paul Lanzetta on April 6, 1968.  They had two children, Paul Jr. and Shannon Marie.  Peggy raised her family in East Rockaway, New York.  Peggy was known as the “Mother of All” as all her children’s friends called her Mom.  Peggy loved her children and wasn’t just their mother, she was their best friend.  Peggy loved spending time with her family and friends.  She enjoyed reading, crafting, knitting, playing cards, traveling, going to the movies and the simple things in life like being home in the house she loved with her husband.

The light of Peggy’s life were her grandchildren, Erin, Ryan and Justin.  Nothing made her happier than spending time with them and talking to them as often as she could.

Peggy had a great life and had so much love for her family and friends.  They meant everything to her and nothing mattered more.  She will be missed by so many.

Peggy is survived by her husband of 54 years, Paul, her son, Paul Jr., her daughter, Shannon Marie, her son-in-law, James, her grandchildren, Justin, Erin and Ryan.  She is also survived by her brother, John.
