Louisette F. Diorio

Louisette Diorio, 97, passed away at home on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, surrounded by family. She was born in France and lived in the United States since age 19. Louisette was an army wife and lived in a number of countries. Widowed at 57 years old from her love Army officer Alfred, she continued to work as a hairdresser at Fort Richie, Maryland and retired in the early 80’s. She loved to travel and play bingo with her Catholic Church community. She also loved crocheting and knitting. Louisette also like to have a lot of her family and friends around. She loved being the center of attention as she got older and told many stories of her life and growing up in France during World War II. Everyone who met her loved her and called her G-ma.

She was survived by her daughter Marie Helene Del Pazzo (Richard) and predeceased by her son, Patrick (Ruth) and her sister, Madeleine Achille (Serge). Grandchildren Danielle Monte Carlo (Anthony), Richard Del Pazzo, Dawn Ray (Joel) and Shane Diorio  She also has many loving Great Grandchildren, nephews and nieces

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at McMillan-Small Funeral Home, 910 67th Avenue N., Myrtle Beach, SC.
