Lonnie Carl Wolfe, 80, a resident of Myrtle Beach, SC and formerly of Elkins, WV departed his life on Monday, November 3, 2025.
Lonnie was born July 3, 1945 at Pifer Mountain, Tucker County, a son of the late Forest and Lora Shahan Wolfe.
On July 22, 1966, he was married to the former Susan Elaine Hansford who resides in Myrtle Beach, SC. They had celebrated 59 years of marriage.
Surviving also are one daughter, Tonya Sue Paxton and husband Jon; 2 granddaughters, Allison Brooke Paxton and Lauren Chayse Paxton, all of Canonsburg, PA.
Preceding him in death is 2 brothers and one sister, Allen Dale Wolfe, Gerald Wolfe and Pat Henrie.
He graduated from Parsons High School class of 1963. He was Honorable discharged from the US Army. Lonnie was employed 40 years with The Clorox Company and retired in 2011. He was active in the Tucker County Chamber, Elkins/Randolph County Chamber, WV State Chamber, WV Self-Insurers Assoc., WV Manufacturers Assoc., Campaign Chair and President of Randolph Co. United Way, Kiwanis International, Assistant Director Mt. State Forest Festival, member of Randolph Co. Development Authority and board member of Elkins Regional Convalescent Center. He was also a member of Pythagoras Lodge # 128, A.F.& A.M, Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Shriner’s International, and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Lonnie’s request for cremation was honored. A private burial will be held at a later date. The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to the First United Methodist Church, 315 Kerens Ave, Elkins, WV 26241.
