Lester Jordan Broverman

Lester J Broverman, 92 of Myrtle Beach, SC and formerly of Pittsfield, MA passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026.

 He was born December 5, 1933 in Pittsfield, MA son of the late Michael and Bessie (Elkins) Broverman. His wife for 61 years of loving marriage, Erma, passed away on November 12, 2016.

Lester graduated from from Pittsfield High School in 1951, University of Massachusetts in 1955 with a degree in in Business Administration, Youngstown University in 1962 with a degree in Electrical Engineering and UMASS with a Masters degree in Business Administration. He served as a Captain in the US Air Force as a Navigator and Airborne Radar Director. Les was a Program Engineer, Quality Control Manager and Program Manager for over 32 years with the General Electric and Lockheed Martin Ordnance Systems Department in Pittsfield managing navy guidance programs as well as the AEGIS Director contracts at Ordnance until his retirement in 1994.

He leaves his son Jonathan Broverman and wife, Tatiana of Pittsfield, MA; daughter, Judith Bulfin of Myrtle Beach, SC, and grandchildren Andrea, Marissa and Benjamin Broverman; sister-in-laws Judith Stillwell and Judith Brown and several loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by brothers, Alvin, Donald and Howard; son-in- law Thomas Bulfin, dear friend, Jack Burgoyne; sister-in-laws Ann, Inge and Rita Broverman and Erma’s brother, Dr Mark Brown. Les and Erma experienced and contributed to a life full of love, family, friendships, pets, travel and rewarding careers. They maintained their many friendships in Massachusetts while moving to Myrtle Beach first as snowbirds in 1995 and as permanent residents in 2006. They enjoyed years of tennis, pickleball, afternoon happy hours and socializing with their many friends.

A Celebration of Life will be at a later date in Myrtle Beach.
