Lee Jones Russ, 77, of Myrtle Beach, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026, at Grand Strand Medical Center after a battle with liver cancer

Born on October 22,1949 in Laurens ,SC and moved to Myrtle Beach as a child. She attended Myrtle Beach High School and retired from the Horry County Auditors office. She lived life at full volume. She didn’t just walk in a room, she changed the temperature. Her loyalty ran deep, and her love showed up loud, honest, and without hesitation. She lived big, laughed bigger and loved with a force that left no one guessing where  they stood. She was a blazing soul who loved where she came from and the people in it with everything she had. She will be deeply missed and her memory will live on.

She is survived by her loving son, Cliff Russ; sister-in-law, Jenny Jones; and nieces, Kellie, Kayce, and Blakely Jones.

A celebration of life will follow at a later date.
