Obituary

Dr. Laura Miranda Cuison of South Carolina, went home to her Savior on October 21st, 2025 at the age of 87.  Laura was born July 10th 1938 in Tarlack Philippines.  She was the third child of four and only daughter of Victor and Elisimia Miranda.

From an early age, Laura excelled at school and began her love of learning.  She would go on to graduate from Manila Central University Medical School and spent the majority of her medical career as a forensic psychiatrist.

In 1970, Laura bravely moved by herself to the US.  She always reminded her children that she came to the states with two hundred dollars and two suitcases.  While studying for her medical boards, she met the love her life Dr. Floro Cuison who passed away in 2006.  Together, they had built a loving home and raised four children.  After working and raising their family in New York State, they retired and moved to North Myrtle Beach.  During her retirement, she enjoyed many hobbies and interests most notably traveling the world, studying the Bible, gardening, and collecting just about anything.

She is survived by her four children Valentino Cuison, Floreme Zoccole, Edmund Cuison, Roderick Cuison, ten grandchildren and her beloved youngest brother Benjamin Miranda.

Laura will be remembered most for her unwavering Christian faith and commitment to her family.   As well as her stellar spelling skills and love of singing.
