Kathryn Robeson Holt

Kathryn Robeson Holt, went to be with the Lord on December 15, 2024.

She was the daughter of the late Glenn Bryon and Lydia Katherine Heiler Robeson.

Her family moved to Hickory, NC when she was three years old. She went through the Hickory Public Schools. She attended and graduated from Lenior-Rhyne College in Hickory, NC.

She started her career at Merck Sharp and Dohme as a laboratory supervisor. She went to work for Western Electric in the Engineering Department. Later she became an Ophthalmic Assistant following her marriage to her husband, Ophthalmologist, Dr. Lawrence Byerly Holt who predeased her. She lived and worked in Winston-Salem, NC for many years before moving to Myrtle Beach, SC to be with her family, circa 2014.

She was of the Lutheran faith and then Methodist following her marriage. She was an active member of the Eastern Star.

Ms. Holt was also predeased by a son, Dr. Glenn Robeson Holt(Optomotrist).

Survivors include: Step-Daughter, Anne Ware Holt; Step-Son, Dr. Lawrence Byerly Holt, Jr., Medical Onocologist,(Retired) and wife, Brenda Holt, Grandchildren, Edward L. Holt and wife, Lindsey Holt, Kallan Holt, and Lawrence B. Holt, III, Great-Grandchildren, Charlotte Glenna Holt, and Gwyneth Paige Holt.

Throughout her life she strived to be a loving and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, family member, and friend.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
