Joshua "Josh" Majer Obituary

Josh was born on January 29, 1981 in Sellersville, PA. Josh spent most of his childhood in Hatfield and Morgantown where he played baseball, basketball, soccer, and enjoyed golfing. He also loved swimming, skateboarding, and snowboarding. Josh moved to Myrtle Beach, SC at the age of 19 after graduating high school and shortly thereafter, met the love of his life Kerstin. Josh was extremely talented and could design, build, and create anything. He was an amazing woods craftsman and an artist with a unique perspective. He loved spending time with his family and friends, going to the beach, playing golf, and gardening. Josh has always had a great sense of humor and wit.

Sadly, Josh passed away October 19, 2021 at Conway Medical Center. Josh fought long and hard with an illness until his body was ready to be at peace and rest. He will be missed dearly and made a huge impact on all those he met. Josh was kind, compassionate, loving, and carried a generous heart.

He is survived by his wife, Kerstin Majer and their four-legged girls, Emi, Rue, Nessi, and the late Bailey “Boosie Butt Boofasa.” Kerstin and Josh were married for 12 years and together for a total of 21 years.

He is also survived by his parents, Bill and Janet Majer; his sister, Kate Paulson and her husband Jeff, and their two children, Kylie and Aimee; his sister, Stephanie Ketner and her husband Kirk, and their three children, Masen, Gavin, and Ian.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Paul Wragg and Mary Lee Blythe and his paternal grandparents, Charles “Bill” Majer and Alverta Mae “Sally” Schultz.

His funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at McMillan-Small Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to All 4 Paws (https://all4pawssc.org/donate/).  All 4 Paws is an animal rescue and shelter in Pawleys Island. Josh had a love and passion for the well-being and care of all animals. It would only be appropriate to allow an option to donate to an organization that he loved and supported.
