With deep love and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph V. Romeo, who entered into eternal rest on September 23, 2025, at the age of 82.
Joseph was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a proud veteran of the United States Navy. A professional photographer since 1984, he had a gifted eye for capturing moments and memories. Beyond his work, he found joy in fishing, traveling, and, above all, spending time with his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Frances Romeo; his four children, Louis Romeo, Melissa Pullis, Michael Romeo, and Kimberly Romeo-Srivastava; his daughters-in-law, Charisse Romeo and Febe Martinez; and his son-in-law, Dr. Abhishek Srivastava. He is also survived by his sister, Katherine Carrara, whom he adored. Joseph leaves behind nine cherished grandchildren: Joseph, Anthony, Edward, Victor, Elizabeth, Maria Frances, Christian, Ayana, and Ameya.
Services to honor and celebrate Joseph’s life will be held at McMillan-Small Funeral Home, 910 67th Ave N, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572, on Monday, September 29, from 5:00–7:00 p.m., and Tuesday, September 30, from 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m., with a luncheon to follow at Jerusalem Mediterranean Restaurant, 7211 N Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who loved him.
