Joseph “Joe” H. Paramore III, 82, passed away peacefully at his home on March 27, 2021 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Born in Lenoir County, North Carolina, son of the late Joseph H. Paramore, II and Mamie Spence Paramore.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Lorraine Sweeney Paramore, sons, Joseph Scott (Anne) Paramore and Mark Edward (Sandra) Paramore, 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and his first wife and mother of his children, Barbara S. Paramore. Also surviving is his sister, Marie P. Gerrans and two brothers, Roger L. Paramore, Charles D. (Carol) Paramore, brother-in-law Larry (Christine) Sweeney, half-sister Tammy (David) Pressley, and several nieces and nephews. Joe was predeceased by his parents and daughter, Shella P. Caspino.
Joe was a devoted member of Ocean Drive Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder, Deacon and in other various roles but the role he loved best at the church was that of Sunday Greeter at the 11:00 AM service. Joe was a greeter until his illness prevented him from doing so. He was president of Paramount Development Corporation from 1990 until his retirement in 2015. Joe was also a member of The Surf Golf and Beach Club.
The family would like to thank his caregiver, Linda Foster for the kindness and excellent care she gave to Joe and to Regency SouthernCare Hospice for their wonderful care and response to Joe and our needs.
Funeral Services will be held on April 21, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Ocean Drive Presbyterian Church, 410 6th Avenue South, North Myrtle Beach, SC with visitation at 10:30 AM.
