Joseph “Joe” Diminich, 69, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away on September 16, 2025, at Grand Strand Medical Center. He was born on March 12, 1956, the third child of Sam and Sarah Diminich, who preceded him in death.
Born and raised in Myrtle Beach, Joe dedicated much of his early life to his family and their business. He worked alongside loved ones at The Roma, the Italian restaurant proudly owned and operated by the Diminich family, where he became known for his warmth, and the care he showed to everyone he met. Joe had an unparalleled wit about him that could make people laugh for hours, loved surfing, hunting, fishing and was a music lover-especially the Rolling Stones.
Joe is survived by his beloved children: Alana Stewart (husband Jon), Abby Watts (husband Jarrod), and Erin Hamm (husband Chris); and grandchildren Hannah (Alana), Nolan and Wyatt (Abby), and Andrew (Erin); and nieces and nephew Lauren Alvey, Sarah Diminich, Stephanie Lockhart, Alexandria Diminich, Megan McWilliams, and Samuel Diminich, Jr. He is also survived by his siblings, Toni Allman and Richard Diminich. He is preceded in death by his brother, Sam Diminich.
Joe will be remembered for his deep roots in the Myrtle Beach community and for the many lives he touched through both his work and his kindness.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like charitable donations to Grand Strand Human Society for his love of animals.
