Joseph Anthony Cleary

Joseph Anthony Cleary, 55, passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 17, 2026.   He was born on January 24, 1971, in Mount Kisco, New York, a son of the late James Cleary and Patricia Smyth Cleary.

Joseph spent over 20 years serving the community as a Police Officer for the Myrtle Beach Police Department from which he had recently retired.

Jospeh is survived by his sister, Catherine Maw-Naing of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and her husband Jesse; brother, Michael Cleary of Fort Montgomery, New York and his wife Celena and daughter Meghan.

A Celebration of Life will be11:00 AM, Friday, July 24, 2026, at McMillan-Small Funeral Home with police honors.  The family will receive friends Friday, from 10:00 AM until 10:50 AM prior to his service.
