Obituary
Joree N. Burroughs, 78, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina passed away peacefully at home on October 24, 2024.
Born on October 11, 1946, she lived in Myrtle Beach for most of her adult life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Judge Joseph Allen Newell, and Pearl B Newell; and her beloved son, Joel Allen Turbeville.
Joree is survived by her daughter, Allyson T. Chestnut, and Bill Chestnut; grandchildren, Megan (Jordan) Hanks, Carmen (Eddie) Whisler and Carter Chestnut; great grandchildren, E J and Carter Whisler: and George T. Newell of Moncks Corner, who was like a brother.
Joree loved her family and God most of all. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. Joree was a special person who touched the lives of many.
Graveside services will be 12:00 PM, Monday, October 28, 2024, at Biggin Cemetery, 1127 – Hwy. 402, Moncks Corner, SC 29461.
