With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jon C. Roben, a devoted father, proud Navy veteran, and cherished friend, who passed away peacefully in his home on July 22, 2025, at the age of 83.
Born on March 19, 1942, in Baltimore, Jon built a life rooted in dedication, warmth, and unwavering love for his family. He was a successful telecommunications executive and served his country honorably in the United States Navy—roles that reflected his discipline, leadership, and strong sense of duty.
Jon had a deep appreciation for life’s joys: he loved entertaining, grilling, traveling with his beloved wife Diana (predeceased), and spending time with family and friends at the beach. Whether watching sports, golfing, or enjoying a good happy hour, Jon brought a thoughtful, generous spirit to everything he did. Though stern when needed, his kindness and dedication were felt by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving daughter Brady and her husband Matt Dell; stepdaughter Jackie Earabino and her husband Mike Rohlik; grandson Ryan Earabino; sister Jennifer and her husband Charly Zink; and brother Paul and his wife Suzanne Roben. He also leaves behind an extended family of nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends who were like family.
Jon’s memory will live on in the stories shared, the traditions kept, and the lives he touched with his giving heart.
At Jon’s request, no formal service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital https://www.stjude.org/ or Pibbles & More Animal Rescue Inc. www.pmarinc.org
